The Argo Trust has been founded and developed on the principles of family, social inclusion and a high standard of service delivery. There is a collaborative approach between the governing board, management and support staff in achieving such a successful, happy and innovative environment for the residents of Argo.

Argo was established by a group of parents who wanted more for their children than traditional services could offer. The board of trustees are formed by a parent from each family who have ongoing active roles in the life of Argo. Over the years, the parents have developed a healthy balance of being involved in Argo and enjoying a normal parent relationship with their adult children.

The management team is lead by Dayna Atkinson, Leigh McDonald, Sacha Dicks and Loretha du Plessis. Our greatest role in managing Argo is being able to create and maintain an environment for the staff to flourish on behalf of the residents.

Argo employees around 25 support staff. The majority of these are part time staff who are studying at local Universities. Many Argo staff come with little or no prior experience in the area of health & disability and therefore have no built up disability mindsets. Our staff are a passionate, loving and inspiring group of individuals who work alongside the residents.
We believe that The Argo Trust has accomplished an exemplary service and family home. Argo illustrates that disability, no matter how profound, does not have to be limiting or restrictive. Over its fourteen years of existence, Argo has become a leading service provider and a unique example of a service that does not see profound disability as an obstacle.
