Established 26 years ago, The Argo Trust supports six residents with profound disabilities in a purpose-built house in the Aro Valley.
We are a non-profit organisation and registered charity.
Argo House is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week by a team of full and part time staff. The staff are motivated, energetic and committed to ensuring the residents of the Trust live the best life possible.

In 2006 Sharom Aryan, who had worked at Argo as a caregiver, left to study music recording. During this study he made a project of recording the sounds of Argo.
He recorded instrumental sounds during the weekly music therapy sessions, and the Argo residents vocalisations during the course of their day, and also interviews with staff.
Using an editing suite, he then edited, spliced and layered the recorded sounds to create a captivating montage/soundscape that captured some of the essence of Argo's atmosphere and ethos - Gareth Hansen, Argo Team Member.
